It’s interesting to see how employment dynamics are shifting as we finally come out of the back end of the pandemic, there are some incredibly impressive business leaders that took stock of things during the pandemic, it was after all one of the first times most people had a chance to stop, think, take and breath and reflect on where they are and where they are going from a life and career perspective, making some really big decisions as a result.
Others took the opportunity to embrace a flexible or work from home work pattern themselves and for their teams. Over the next 12 -24 months will be very interesting to see how Employers adapt to a new expectation of working styles and environment for their teams, where people have got used to being able to drop off or collect their children from school and place a value on that they never did before.
How many people had a dog during lockdown that would never have considered it with the 9-5 office based job they had previously, as a twist on the old saying, a dog is for life, not just for lockdown.
The employers that can embrace a permanent hybrid working style moving forwards may well be the ones that retain and attract the best talent moving forwards as they look to recruit, only time will tell!!! Otherwise I can see a boom in “doggy daycare” services being offered and the next growth market to invest in.
